A line's color gradient along its major axis comes from the triangle setup's reciprocal, with 14 fraction bits per subpixel, floored, and each pixel is the start color plus the gradient times its center's signed distance from v0 along the line. A diagonal line (|dx| == |dy|) is y-major. gpu/probe exp137, exact; fixes the line strips in a Final Fantasy Zero frame dump. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
To get to 100% compatibility, we will need a software renderer as there are games out there that do tricks that can't really be faked in a sensible way. Useful for homebrew too that mix sw and accel rendering.
