It was a debug aid that asserted the activity callbacks arrive in the order Android promises. That's served its purpose, and the logging it did is covered by the "onPause end"/"onResume end" lines PpssppActivity logs itself. onStart() and onStop() went with it - they existed only to drive the tracker, and an override that just calls super is noise.
